About the Project

The Otway Offshore Phase 5 project involves the further development of the Thylacine field and the potential development of the Artisan field, and comprises the following:

Brisbane Metro will be a key part of Brisbane’s greater transport network connecting the city to the suburbs. New high-capacity and high-frequency Metro services will run along dedicated busways and link with suburban bus and train services as part of a better-planned network.

Brisbane Metro will provide a 21-kilometre service connecting 18 stations from Eight Mile Plains to Roma Street, and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) to University of Queensland (UQ).

The expected cost to build Brisbane Metro is $1.244 billion. Brisbane City Council (Council) has committed to funding a majority of the project’s capital costs, with the Australian Government providing a $300 million funding contribution to the project.

Caboolture hospital provides services to a rapidly growing region and population. There is a requirement to expand the breadth and depth of services available, to improve local access to services, better align the service profile with projected demand, and to provide improved environment for patients, families, and staff.

The Cairns Convention Centre is currently at capacity, due to a combination of population growth, increased tourism and demand for the number and increasing size of Trade shows. The Canberra Hospital Expansion will transform the acute health services delivered at the Canberra Hospital. The new centre will deliver new Emergency Department treatment spaces, as well as additional Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, new pediatric ICU beds, a family support zone for families with children in the ICU, and new operating theatres including state-of-the-art hybrid theatres and interventional radiology theatres that support the most advanced medical technology.

The Clarke Creek Wind Farm project, is located approximately 150km north west of Rockhampton and 150km south of Mackay. The project is currently in the feasibility phase and will comprise of up to 195 wind turbines (over 800MW) located on the Broadsound Range.

RATCH-Australia is developing the Collector Wind Farm Project in NSW.  Project Approval for the Collector Wind Farm was granted on 2 December 2013, for the construciton and operation of 54 wind turbines, and associated infrastructure including a substation and transformers, underground cabling and overhead transmission connections, operations and maintenance facility and access tracks. EPC contract has been awarded to Vestas Wind Systems A/S.

Covalent Lithium is developing, and will operate, the Covalent Lithium Project which will include the construction and operation of a fully integrated mine, concentrator and refinery in Western Australia.

The West Gate Tunnel Project will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, providing a much needed second river crossing facilitating quicker and safer journeys. It will provide an alternative route from the West Gate Freeway to the CBD and will slash congestion and travel times.

Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and the CBD.

The Metro Tunnel Project (Tunnels and Stations PPP) is an $11 billion dollar, multi-disciplinary, city shaping project that will help define the future of Melbourne. The Tunnels and Stations PPP includes the construction of twin 9km rail tunnels from Kensington to South Yarra as part of a new end to end Sunshine to Dandenong line and new underground stations at Arden, Parkville, CBD North (with a direct pedestrian connection with Melbourne Central station), CBD South (with a direct pedestrian connection with Flinders Street Station) and Domain.

The NT Government is establishing East Arm in Darwin as the prime location for marine maintenance and servicing facilities in northern Australia by building the largest ship lift in Northern Australia. The Ship Lift Facility will enable the maintenance and servicing of Defence and Australian Border Force vessels, along with commercial and private vessels, including from the oil, gas and marine industries.

The Northern Lift consortium has been shortlisted to deliver the Darwin Ship Lift. Led by Australian multidisciplinary construction contractor BESIX Watpac, Northern Lift consists of leading marine infrastructure specialists.

McConnell Dowell have been shortlisted for the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage of the Darwin Ship Lift Project.

Local construction company Sitzler has been shortlisted through to the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage for planning and delivery of the proposed ship lift facility at East Arm, NT.

Territoria Civil has been shortlisted to participate in the Request for Proposal [RFP] phase of the Darwin Ship Lift and Marine Industry Project tender.

The Defence Fuel Transformation Program (DFTP) aims to transform the Defence Fuel Supply Chain (DFSC) in order to deliver a safer, simpler and more assured Defence Fuel Network (DFN) in partnership with industry. The Fuel Services Contract (FSC) is one of the DFTP transformation projects.

CWP Renewables is developing the Bango Wind Farm project in NSW.  Project Approval for the Bango Wind Farm was granted in December 2018 for the construction and operation of 46 wind turbines and associated infrastructure including a substation and transformers, underground and overhead cabling, operations and maintenance facility and access tracks.  The EPC Contract has been awarded to General Electric International Inc. (GE).

The Dorado oil field contains 140 mmbbls (2C, 100%) of oil. It is located in the Bedout basin, approximately 150km north of Port Hedland in Petroleum permit WA-437-P.  The project will be developed jointly in line with the equity split of Santos Offshore Pty Ltd 80% and Carnarvon Petroleum Pty Ltd 20%.

The offshore resource would be developed with up to 16 platform wells drilled by a jack-up drilling rig. These would be connected back to an adjacent Floating Production, Storage and Offloading facility (FPSO) moored in 95 metres of water above the Dorado field.

The proposed FPSO unit will have processing facilities to stabilise and store the oil and compress and re-inject gas to the reservoir.

East Rockingham Acciona Joint Venture, have, together with Hitachi Zosen Inova, formed the EPC Consortium to engineer, procure and construct the East Rockingham Waste to Energy Project,

Echuca in Victoria, and Moama in New South Wales are connected by a single Murray River Bridge which was built in 1878. This crossing provides an important link for local traffic between the two towns and surrounding regions.

FMG Solomon, a subsidiary of Fortescue Metals Group, will develop the Eliwana Project, following board approval in May 2018.

ElectraNet and TransGrid are partnering to deliver an energy interconnector between the power grids of South Australia and New South Wales, with an added connection to Victoria. An electricity interconnector is a connection that allows power to flow between regions in the National Energy Market, providing access to a larger number of electricity generators.

Forest Wind (the Project) is a wind farm development in the Wide Bay Region of Queensland.

Forest Wind will be located within a large pine plantation on Queensland State Government owned land between Gympie and Maryborough. The Traditional Owners of the land on which the Project is located are the Butchulla First Nations People and the Kabi Kabi First Nations People.

The Project comprises up to 226 wind turbine generators and related infrastructure.

Forest Wind has the capacity to generate up to 1200MW of electricity, enough to supply more than 550,000 homes, or 1 in 4 Queensland homes.

At 1200MW, the Project would contribute up to one quarter of Queensland’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) of 50% and offset up to 3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent each year.

Forest Wind has the capacity to deliver significant social, economic and environmental benefits to the region.

The Chevron Australia-operated Gorgon Project is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and the largest single resource development in Australia's history. GS2 is an upgrade to the Gorgon Projects existing subsea petroleum facilities. Further wells and subsea infrastructure are to be added to the existing Gorgon and Jansz-Io Fields to maintain future gas supply for the Project.

The Ichthys LNG Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX group companies (the Operator), major partner Total, CPC Corporation Taiwan and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, JERA, and Toho Gas.

In September 2008, INPEX (Operator) and its joint venture participant Total selected Darwin as the site for the LNG processing facility. 

The Project is now in construction and preparations underway for operations which are scheduled to commence at the end of 2016.

Inland Rail is transforming how everyday goods are moved around our vast country. It will complete the backbone of the national freight network by providing transit times of less than 24 hours for freight trains between Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

The Gowrie to Kagaru section of Inland Rail in Queensland will be designed, built, managed and financed through a Public Private Partnership (PPP).

The Gowrie to Kagaru section is divided into three separate projects:

• Gowrie to Helidon
• Helidon to Calvert
• Calvert to Kagaru

The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section comprises an upgrade to approximately 186km of track within the existing rail corridor and construction    of approximately 2.3km of new rail corridor. The works are required to accommodate the operation of 1,800m-long double-stacked freight trains      and will involve the modification of various structures

The Tottenham to Albury section of Inland Rail will upgrade 305km of existing rail corridor between metropolitan Melbourne and the Victoria-NSW border at Albury-Wodonga.

Due to its scale and complexity, this project is broken into two stages:

• Stage One: Beveridge to Albury
• Stage Two: Metropolitan Melbourne

The Iron Bridge Project (Project) is for the development of a new magnetite mine (including processing and transport facilities) and associated infrastructure at the Iron Bridge Project Site to support production of 20 dry million tonnes per annum (dMtpa) of high grade, magnetite concentrate production

The Victorian Heart Hospital Project will see the construction of Australia’s first Cardiac Specific Heart Hospital. Located in Clayton on the Monash University Campus the completed hospital will see a structure consisting of 3 Operating Theatres, 206 beds, 10 Catheterisation Laboratories. The new Hospital will also include car and bicycle parking for patients. 

UGL is tendering to the Commonwealth of Australia (‘Commonwealth’) to be the Integrated Managing Contractor (‘IMC’) for the Deployable Bulk Fuel Distribution (‘DBFD’) system. The IMC will be accountable for the initial design and thereafter the delivery, management, support, and training of users of the DBFD system.  

The Julimar-Brunello fields are located on the North West Shelf, approximately 180 km west-north-west off Dampier, Western Australia.

Woodside is the operator of the Julimar-Brunello fields, with a 65% interest (KUFPEC have 35% interest). These fields supply 20% of Wheatstone LNG’s foundation capacity of natural gas. 

The Glenaladale deposit is one of the largest mineral sands deposits in the world, with a JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Committee) resource of 2.7Bt of heavy mineral. It is located about 250km east of Melbourne. The Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project focuses on a high-grade area of the Glenaladale ore body in the Eastern part of the deposit about 20km northwest of Bairnsdale.  Kalbar proposes to extract 170Mt of ore to produce around 8Mt of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) over 20 years. The project area is approximately 1,675 hectares and the total area to be mined is approximately 1,100 hectares.

Australias Future Submarines are being designed and built under a program that includes two prime contracts, one with DCNS as the Platform System Integrator and one with Lockheed Martin Australia as the Combat System Integrator (CSI) under the Future Submarine Combat System (FSM CS) Program. A major role for the CSI is ensuring that best-of-breed products from all available suppliers, especially those in Australia, are identified and assessed for inclusion in program.

Lockheed Martin is currently in the capture phase for a variety of programs in their Space Business Area and they are seeking expressions of interest from globally competitive Australian companies with capabilities across a variety of areas outlined in this portal.

Logan is one of the fastest growing regions in the state with more than 70,000 additional dwellings expected in the area by 2041.

This expansion will enhance the clinical services delivered at the Logan Hospital and improve facilities for patients, visitors and staff.

The project includes: 

• an additional 195 beds and additional 11 treatment spaces
• a vertical expansion of Building 3 (emergency department building), delivering four new floors
• building-in of the ground floor of Building 3
• refurbishment of clinical, clinical support and operational service support areas in the other existing hospital buildings.
   

The MacIntyre Wind Farm will contain up to 120 turbines and will generate 540 megawatts of clean electricity, enough to power 200,000 homes, in a location ideally exposed to consistent winds. Like many of ACCIONA’s existing wind projects, farmland will remain productive and the host landowners will continue to use the land, predominantly for sheep grazing.

Upgrade and refurbishment of the stadium and surrounding concourse, while keeping the stadium operational for the maximum amount of time.

McArthur River Mining (MRM) is located in the Northern Territory approximately 970 kilometres south-east from Darwin and 60 kilometres south-west of its closest township, Borroloola. MRM mines one of the world’s largest zinc and lead deposits.  Established as an underground operation in 1995, MRM converted to open-pit mining in 2006. MRM produces zinc and lead in concentrates which are primarily exported through Bing Bong loading facility on the southern coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria. The current mine life extends to 2038 with an additional 10 years reprocessing tailings.

The Middle Arm Battery project is an early works package that will later form part of the Australia-ASEAN Power Link (AAPL) project.

Project design is scheduled to start in 3rd Qtr 2020. On-site works for establishment and land clearing in Q2 2021, with the Battery to be commissioned and online in Q2 2022.

The Minjerribah Ganaba project will refurbish and repurpose the former Dunwich (Goompi) State Secondary School to become the Minjerribah Ganaba. The Minjerribah Ganaba will provide a modern venue for delivering education training and employment on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah).

The Mordialloc Freeway is a proposed new 9km road linking the end of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Springvale Road to the Dingley Bypass. 

A $35.5 million upgrade to our Morwell campus will deliver a modern, high-quality training facility in the heart of the Latrobe Valley, due for completion by the end of 2021.

Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) are currently establishing a series of Panels of Contractors to deliver on a number of Major Projects which will be released to the Market via the Panel arrangement in Tranches. Each Contractor will be responsible for the Design as well as the Construction elements of each of the Projects and details of the successful Contractor will be posted here when available.

Supply, transport, install and commission 38 x Wind Turbine Generators at Murra Warra Phase II, including access civil works, synchronous condenser, substation and operations building.

The Narrabri Gas Project involves the production of natural gas through the progressive development of up to 850 wells connected into processing facilities south of Narrabri at Leewood and Bibblewindi. Santos intends to undertake a self-managed approach and act as the procurement entity for the project.

The acquisition of 12 Future Submarines, announced in the 2016 Defence White Paper has commenced.

The Naval Shipbuilding College will work with key stakeholders to ensure a suitably skilled and qualified Australian workforce is available at the right time to meet industry's needs in delivering Australia's continuous sovereign naval shipbuilding program.
