In March 2019, the Australian Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) awarded the JP9711-1 Core Simulation Capability to the Lockheed Martin Team. The award included an acquisition contract and a service contract. Scope includes: Transformation of extant simulation capabilities leveraging a combination of existing TLS products like WARSIM and EPIC with new purpose-built simulation management software. The Services portion of the contract begins following achievement of Initial Operational Capability (IOC) in December 2020. The LM Team provides a range of support for distributed training events including exercise planners, terrain developers, professional interactors, and simulation engineers.

About the Project
The Otway Offshore Phase 5 project involves the further development of the Thylacine field and the potential development of the Artisan field, and comprises the following:
- Tie-In of up to four (4) Subsea Wells to the existing Thylacine-A platform;
- Potential tie-In of one (1) Subsea well to the Existing Otway Export Gas Pipeline.
The development will consist of procurement, fabrication and installation of flexible flowlines, subsea structures, electro-hydraulic umbilical systems and subsea control system upgrades on Thylacine-A Platform and Onshore Gas Plant.
Packages for this work will start being released on the ICN in Q4 2020 and will continue into 2021.

Brisbane Metro will be a key part of Brisbane’s greater transport network connecting the city to the suburbs. New high-capacity and high-frequency Metro services will run along dedicated busways and link with suburban bus and train services as part of a better-planned network.
Brisbane Metro will provide a 21-kilometre service connecting 18 stations from Eight Mile Plains to Roma Street, and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) to University of Queensland (UQ).
The expected cost to build Brisbane Metro is $1.244 billion. Brisbane City Council (Council) has committed to funding a majority of the project’s capital costs, with the Australian Government providing a $300 million funding contribution to the project.

The Cairns Convention Centre is currently at capacity, due to a combination of population growth, increased tourism and demand for the number and increasing size of Trade shows. The Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW) is the project principal/client and Lendlease has been appointed as the managing contractor of the CCCE project which includes detailed design and construction responsibility.

The Canberra Hospital Expansion will transform the acute health services delivered at the Canberra Hospital. The new centre will deliver new Emergency Department treatment spaces, as well as additional Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, new pediatric ICU beds, a family support zone for families with children in the ICU, and new operating theatres including state-of-the-art hybrid theatres and interventional radiology theatres that support the most advanced medical technology.

RATCH-Australia is developing the Collector Wind Farm Project in NSW. Project Approval for the Collector Wind Farm was granted on 2 December 2013, for the construciton and operation of 54 wind turbines, and associated infrastructure including a substation and transformers, underground cabling and overhead transmission connections, operations and maintenance facility and access tracks. EPC contract has been awarded to Vestas Wind Systems A/S.

The Metro Tunnel Project (Tunnels and Stations PPP) is an $11 billion dollar, multi-disciplinary, city shaping project that will help define the future of Melbourne. The Tunnels and Stations PPP includes the construction of twin 9km rail tunnels from Kensington to South Yarra as part of a new end to end Sunshine to Dandenong line and new underground stations at Arden, Parkville, CBD North (with a direct pedestrian connection with Melbourne Central station), CBD South (with a direct pedestrian connection with Flinders Street Station) and Domain.

The NT Government is establishing East Arm in Darwin as the prime location for marine maintenance and servicing facilities in northern Australia by building the largest ship lift in Northern Australia. The Ship Lift Facility will enable the maintenance and servicing of Defence and Australian Border Force vessels, along with commercial and private vessels, including from the oil, gas and marine industries.

CWP Renewables is developing the Bango Wind Farm project in NSW. Project Approval for the Bango Wind Farm was granted in December 2018 for the construction and operation of 46 wind turbines and associated infrastructure including a substation and transformers, underground and overhead cabling, operations and maintenance facility and access tracks. The EPC Contract has been awarded to General Electric International Inc. (GE).

The Dorado oil field contains 140 mmbbls (2C, 100%) of oil. It is located in the Bedout basin, approximately 150km north of Port Hedland in Petroleum permit WA-437-P. The project will be developed jointly in line with the equity split of Santos Offshore Pty Ltd 80% and Carnarvon Petroleum Pty Ltd 20%.
The offshore resource would be developed with up to 16 platform wells drilled by a jack-up drilling rig. These would be connected back to an adjacent Floating Production, Storage and Offloading facility (FPSO) moored in 95 metres of water above the Dorado field.
The proposed FPSO unit will have processing facilities to stabilise and store the oil and compress and re-inject gas to the reservoir.

Forest Wind (the Project) is a wind farm development in the Wide Bay Region of Queensland.
Forest Wind will be located within a large pine plantation on Queensland State Government owned land between Gympie and Maryborough. The Traditional Owners of the land on which the Project is located are the Butchulla First Nations People and the Kabi Kabi First Nations People.
The Project comprises up to 226 wind turbine generators and related infrastructure.
Forest Wind has the capacity to generate up to 1200MW of electricity, enough to supply more than 550,000 homes, or 1 in 4 Queensland homes.
At 1200MW, the Project would contribute up to one quarter of Queensland’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) of 50% and offset up to 3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent each year.
Forest Wind has the capacity to deliver significant social, economic and environmental benefits to the region.

Inn Express Southbank is a mixed used development project which comprises
commercial retail / office spaces and hotel. The development has two ground
floor retail tenancies, ground floor lobby to mezzanine level office space,
ground floor hotel lobby, levels 1 to 3 carpark, levels 4 to 6 commercial
office spaces, level 7 hotel reception / amenities and levels 8 to 22 featuring
345 hotel rooms. On ground floor, there is also an internal, plant and art
filled laneway which connects City Road through to Fawkner Street at the rear.
The Ichthys LNG Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX group companies (the Operator), major partner Total, CPC Corporation Taiwan and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, JERA, and Toho Gas.

Inland Rail is transforming how everyday goods are moved around our vast country. It will complete the backbone of the national freight network by providing transit times of less than 24 hours for freight trains between Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
The Gowrie to Kagaru section of Inland Rail in Queensland will be designed, built, managed and financed through a Public Private Partnership (PPP).

The IMC will be accountable for the initial design and thereafter the delivery, management, support, and training of users of the DBFD system.
Woodside > Julimar-Brunello Phase 2 Project

The Julimar-Brunello fields are located on the North West Shelf, approximately 180 km west-north-west off Dampier, Western Australia.
Woodside is the operator of the Julimar-Brunello fields, with a 65% interest (KUFPEC have 35% interest). These fields supply 20% of Wheatstone LNG’s foundation capacity of natural gas.

The Glenaladale deposit is one of the largest mineral sands deposits in the world, with a JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Committee) resource of 2.7Bt of heavy mineral. It is located about 250km east of Melbourne. The Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project focuses on a high-grade area of the Glenaladale ore body in the Eastern part of the deposit about 20km northwest of Bairnsdale. Kalbar proposes to extract 170Mt of ore to produce around 8Mt of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) over 20 years. The project area is approximately 1,675 hectares and the total area to be mined is approximately 1,100 hectares.

Logan is one of the fastest growing regions in the state with more than 70,000 additional dwellings expected in the area by 2041.
This expansion will enhance the clinical services delivered at the Logan Hospital and improve facilities for patients, visitors and staff.
The project includes:
- an additional 195 beds and additional 11 treatment spaces
- a vertical expansion of Building 3 (emergency department building), delivering four new floors
- building-in of the ground floor of Building 3
- refurbishment of clinical, clinical support and operational service support areas in the other existing hospital buildings.

The MacIntyre Wind Farm will contain up to 120 turbines and will generate 540 megawatts of clean electricity, enough to power 200,000 homes, in a location ideally exposed to consistent winds. Like many of ACCIONA’s existing wind projects, farmland will remain productive and the host landowners will continue to use the land, predominantly for sheep grazing.

McArthur River Mining (MRM) is located in the Northern Territory approximately 970 kilometres south-east from Darwin and 60 kilometres south-west of its closest township, Borroloola. MRM mines one of the world’s largest zinc and lead deposits. Established as an underground operation in 1995, MRM converted to open-pit mining in 2006. MRM produces zinc and lead in concentrates which are primarily exported through Bing Bong loading facility on the southern coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria. The current mine life extends to 2038 with an additional 10 years reprocessing tailings.

The Middle Arm Battery project is an early works package that will later form part of the Australia-ASEAN Power Link (AAPL) project.
Project design is scheduled to start in 3rd Qtr 2020. On-site works for establishment and land clearing in Q2 2021, with the Battery to be commissioned and online in Q2 2022.
